The first events in Coventry’s year as UK City of Culture have been revealed, including an opening spectacular and everything from the Turner Prize through to a three-day music weekender curated by Terry Hall.

Advent was part of the Coventry City of Culture Trust’s communications team that made the announcement and it resulted in print, online, radio and TV coverage.

It was also revealed that Coventry’s year will kick-off on May 15, 2021 and run through to May 2022 with other programme announcements including a major co-commission with the Royal Shakespeare company.

Advent director Lee Corden said: “It was an incredibly busy few days leading up to the announcement and it was great to see such a positive reaction. It’s going to be an amazing year for Coventry and the wider region.”
