Shakespeare’s England, the Destination Management Organisation for South Warwickshire, which aims to promote tourism in the region, is urging people to explore their local areas as lockdown restrictions ease.

The ‘Discover Your Doorstep’ campaign on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram is urging people to share images of the pubs, attractions, restaurants and parks that they have nearby, rather than travelling to other areas, when they can reopen.

Shakespeare’s England’s Helen Peters said: “Now that tourist attractions are starting to slowly reopen, we want local people to get out and discover their doorstep, explore their local region and support businesses in the area and share images of their favourite places in Warwickshire with the hashtag #DiscoverYourDoorstep.”
