Blogging is one of the most underrated marketing tools in the health and social care sector. Why, you ask? Older generations are becoming increasingly web-savvy, and more than ever they expect to be able to find up-to-date information online from any organisation that they wish to learn more about.

According to the Office of National Statistics, internet usage in the 65 to 74 age group increased from 52% in 2011 to 83% in 2019, closing the gap on younger cohorts.

Daily internet usage is also up amongst the age groups most likely to include the children/loved ones of potential residents (55 to 64). This group regularly search for information on care types and home facilities when planning for their relatives future needs.
