Advent is proud to have helped promote Coventry boy Paddy Igoe’s search for a bone marrow donor.
The 12-year-old needs to find a donor with matching tissue type to treat his aplastic anaemia.
Advent worked with Paddy’s mother, Donna, a teacher at Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School, which is part of the Romero Catholic Academy, to help spread the word to a range of regional news outlets.
Their story has received coverage in print, online and on radio, culminating in a broadcast on ITV Central about a donor drive at Sacred Heart.
Many others have supported the call for help too, including Wasps who welcomed 40 volunteers to their Gallagher Premiership Rugby clash with Saracens to sign people up to the UK stem cell registry.
