Advent rubs shoulders with sporting stars

It’s not every day you get to rub shoulders with a sporting world champion – but this year’s Wigley Group Golf Open & Gala Dinner gave Advent the chance to do just that…and with seven!

It’s not every day you get to rub shoulders with a sporting world champion – but this year’s Wigley Group Golf Open & Gala Dinner gave Advent the chance to do just that…and with seven!

Special guest Frank Bruno MBE headed the star-studded line-up to raise money for The Wigley Support Fund, an initiative with Support Our Paras, which included world snooker champion Mark Williams MBE and world darts champion Rob Cross.

The fundraiser got off to a spectacular start with the Red Devils landing on the course, which Advent live streamed on social media, followed by posting interviews throughout the day with among others Williams, sports promoter Barry Hearn and a ‘180!’ from ‘The Voice of Darts’ Russ Bray.  The interview with Williams has been viewed over 8,000 times on Twitter.
