Coventry’s bid to be UK City of Culture 2021 was the subject of a double page profile piece in the Observer.
The race to be UK City of Culture in 2021 is hotting up – and Coventry believes it has a strong case for claiming the title currently held by Hull, and Advent ensured the city figured prominently in the high-profile article.
It builds on previous national articles and broadcasts on the bid including BBC Breakfast, BBC News, The Guardian and Observer.
The Department for Culture Media & Sport is expecting to announce its shortlist for the prize in June.
Some estimate the value to the city and the wider region’s economy to be above £1billion and winning would lead to social, economic and cultural benefits including an increase in visitors and new development.
