More national coverage for Advent

Advent has continued its hot streak of national coverage this month.

Following on from 94-year-old photographer Masterji’s first ever exhibition securing coverage across multiple national media, Coventry’s City of Culture 2021 bid has been showcased further in the name of Ira Aldridge.

Aldridge was the first non-white actor to portray Othello in England after arriving from America in the early 1820s and also enjoyed a stint running the former Coventry Theatre.

The impact of Aldridge’s career on Coventry’s cultural heritage was featured in the Guardian and Observer earlier this month.

Advent also helped secure national coverage in the Independent and Guardian for RISING 16 – the second annual gathering of the RISING Global Peace Forum held in Coventry.
