The Week Ahead in Holyrood - 31st October

Last week it was announced that the Scottish Government will publish plans on how to keep Scotland inside the EU single market before the end of the year. This came after Nicola Sturgeon expressed ‘frustration’ at the UK Government’s ‘lack of a coherent’ plan for leaving the EU.

In the Chamber this week there will debate on the impact of the EU referendum on Justice and Security in Scotland (Tuesday), as well as a debate on Realising Scotland’s Potential in the Digital World (Wednesday).

Wednesday’s Portfolio Questions on Economy, Jobs and Fair Work will focus on issues surrounding employment support programmes, fiscal autonomy for local authorities, and EU funding in light of Brexit. General Questions covers issues including specialist training for social care staff, recycling rates, and the local devolution agenda.
