Advent Rising to the challenge

Advent Communications is delighted to be helping to promote a major global peace forum featuring leading figures from across the world.

Rising 15 will be held in Coventry for the first time this November and it is planned that it will develop into the leading annual global event of its type, building the city’s reputation as a world symbol for peace and reconciliation.

The event is being organised by Coventry University, Coventry City Council and Coventry Cathedral and is hoped to attract around 400 delegates from across the world for its first year, which coincides with the 75th anniversary of the bombing of Coventry and Armistice Day.

The three-day event has won the personal backing from Archbishop Desmond Tutu and attracted a string of high-profile speakers including former Prime Minister Gordon Brown, now a UN special envoy for Global Education, and ex-Beirut hostage Terry Waite.
