Service users from Ipswich charity Genesis Orwell Mencap were treated to a pantomime with a twist, as part of a gesture of New Year goodwill from Suffolk PR and marketing agency Genesis PR. The innovative take on ‘Beauty & the Beast’ – performed by actor-musician collective ‘Let Us Entertain You!’ – is a musical spectacular, incorporating rock, pop and soul classics into the much-loved fairy-tale story.

Twenty service users and carers from Genesis Orwell Mencap, an Ipswich charity which provides support to people with disabilities across South Suffolk, were joined for the special ‘relaxed performance’ of the show by members of the Genesis PR team who have provided free PR and marketing support for the charity for the past four years.

As part of the New Year treat, Genesis Orwell Mencap was also presented with a £350 donation from Genesis PR to help support the charity’s valuable work in 2015.

Nino Serritiello, Chief Executive at Genesis Orwell Mencap, said: “Everyone had a fantastic time at the pantomime and we would like to say a big thank you to Genesis PR for organising the trip which was a great way to help beat the January blues! We are also really grateful for the donation, which will go towards helping us to continue helping others.’
