PLMR’s Week Ahead in Westminster: 19th December

What will 2015 bring for British politics?

A year is a long time in politics. With the general election just around the corner, the political landscape in the UK could be completely different in 12 months’ time.

We could have a Labour government, for example. Or there might be another coalition. There is also the possibility that the the main parties could have different leaders by December next year.

Rob Comba spoke to Harry Cole from Guido Fawkes and Ros Trinick from PLMR to get their thoughts on how 2015 will pan out.

Where will the Tories be this time next year?
Harry thinks they will still be the biggest party, most likely in another coalition.

What about Labour?
Ros says Labour are currently ahead in the polls and are in a strong position to win in the election in May.

What about the Lib Dems?
Ros doesn’t think we should rule out the possibility of Nick Clegg losing his seat.
Harry thinks they may only get 20 or so MPs (they currently have 57), leaving them with only the ‘nutter Lib Dems’.
