Exploring Infomedia Academy during my secondment to Buenos Aires: A New Era of Learning and Development

As part of my secondment in Buenos Aires with Infomedia Consulting, I had the exciting opportunity to delve into Infomedia Academy—a dynamic platform designed to enhance professional development in the communications field and beyond. This experience is part of the Global Communications Alliance (GCA) Leadership Exchange Programme, which allows me to collaborate with talented professionals in a different cultural and operational context. Working at PLMR, I am eager to learn from the unique challenges and innovations that Infomedia brings to the table.

Infomedia Academy offers a wide range of learning formats, including courses, microlearning sessions, webinars, and mentorship opportunities, catering to various learning preferences and schedules.

Infomedia Academy is primarily focused on the communications sector, providing tailored content that addresses the ever-evolving landscape of the industry. However, what truly sets this platform apart is its commitment to expanding its offerings. In the near future, Infomedia Academy will introduce additional topics such as public affairs and digital marketing, ensuring that students and senior professionals can stay ahead of the curve in an increasingly competitive environment, as well as learn about the industry before they enter the world of work.

One of the standout features of Infomedia Academy is the comprehensive nature of its offerings. Participants will have access to videos and bibliographical material on key topics in consulting. Each certification course includes a practical final project and a live consultation meeting, allowing for hands-on experience. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate and gain access to a community of fellow participants for ongoing networking and support.

For those interested in shorter learning formats, Infomedia Academy also offers webinars, which consist of brief courses lasting between three and ten sessions of 45 minutes each, followed by 15 minutes of consultation. Upon completion, participants receive a certificate of participation and join the academy’s vibrant community.

Additionally, the platform features microlearning sessions that focus on specific topics, lasting 45 minutes with an extra 15 minutes for live Q&A. Completing these sessions also earns participants a certificate of participation, reinforcing their commitment to professional development.

Infomedia Academy also provides personalised mentoring through 1:1 sessions with specialised consultants who act as mentors, offering tailored support to enhance your professional growth. Each mentoring session lasts 45 minutes, ensuring that participants receive focused guidance.

For companies looking to improve their team’s skills, Infomedia Academy offers tailored training programs that provide bespoke learning experiences designed to meet specific organisational needs.

Furthermore, by joining Infomedia Academy, you will become part of the INFOMEDIA Community Membership, gaining access to unique benefits that will propel you into the world of communications and public affairs consulting.

One of the most exciting upcoming aspects of Infomedia Academy is the collaboration of guest speakers from the industry, as well as from the Global Communications Alliance (GCA). By inviting industry leaders and experts to share their insights and experiences, the platform will foster a rich learning environment that encourages knowledge exchange and networking.

This collaboration will not only enhance the educational experience but also create valuable connections among participants. They are currently offering the first season of their ‘Certification in Business Consulting’ and are in the process of developing season two. Additionally, two upcoming microlearning webinars—‘The Electoral Landscape in the U.S.’ and ‘One Year of Milei’s Government: How to Explain It to Your Headquarters’—are set to take place this October. For those interested you can book here.

As someone who has always been passionate about continuous learning, I was thrilled learn about this initiative. The ability to engage with diverse topics and connect with thought leaders is a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to advance their skills and knowledge in communications, public affairs, or digital marketing.

I look forward to hearing more about Infomedia Academy as it further develops, and I encourage everyone to explore this invaluable resource. Follow and connect with Infomedia Academy for updates on upcoming courses, webinars, and opportunities to learn from some of the best in the business!
