As a Director, Tim works to develop and deliver media and political engagement strategies that meet clients’ goals in a number of PLMR’s specialist sectors. His experience includes political campaigning and public relations work in education, health and social care, science, and he leads PLMR’s energy sector work.
Tim has successfully delivered national and international media coverage in order to raise clients’ profiles, and is well versed in helping clients to prepare for media appearances and to successfully negotiate crisis situations. He led the team that established the Global Communications Alliance, a global network of independent communications agencies, and was a finalist in the 2014 Douglas Smith Awards, which recognises the best young person working in public affairs and lobbying.
In 2012 Tim was seconded to the Democrat party in the United States to work on President Obama’s re-election campaign, and worked on voter engagement in the key swing state of Virginia. Before joining PLMR in early 2011, Tim worked for Neptune Renewable Energy, who are at the forefront of efforts to develop sites and technologies for tidal electricity generation.
Tim is a Masters graduate of King’s College London, where he studied Modern History, and holds a BSc in Politics and International Relations from the University of Southampton.
