Luke Walpole

Luke joined PLMR in July 2020 to work with a wide range of education clients. Prior to joining the company, he held several positions in the public sector. This included communications work for the Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education, focusing on T Levels, before he moved to Defra’s Brexit team. He has experience briefing ministers both in writing and verbally and helped coordinate the team’s approach to the 2019 General Election.

He was then seconded to Whittington Health NHS Trust, where he delivered strategy projects during the peak of the Coronavirus pandemic.

Luke graduated from the University of Oxford with a BA degree in History, and is also a fully accredited journalist, having completed his NCTJ Diploma to the Gold Standard. He has written for national publications on film and culture, including The Guardian.
