Laura is an Account Manager at Mango at PLMR, supporting a variety of education clients including education technology developers, schools and national education charities.
Working across PR, media relations and public affairs, Laura works closely alongside clients to deliver impactful profile raising and lobbying campaigns to expand their reach and further enhance their influence amongst target stakeholders.
Previously, Laura worked for the Labour Party as part of two regional campaigns teams. Here, she worked on two European elections, local elections, a general election, leadership election and the 2016 EU referendum. She has since supported a number of clients to deliver political messages, from human rights campaign organisations based in Hong Kong to health and nutrition associations spanning Europe.
In her spare time, Laura led the UK campaign to end ‘tampon tax’, which changed UK law this year. The EU is expected to make similar legal changes next year, which will allow any member state to axe or lower tampon tax if they so wish. Laura also founded the social enterprise ‘Sex Ed Matters’, which supports the delivery of the new Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) curriculum in UK schools. She is also the author of ‘Speak Up!’, a campaign guide for young adults.
