The Situation

UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) worked with businesses to enter and be successful in international markets, while also supporting overseas investors wanting to enter and invest in the UK. PLMR Genesis supported UKTI across the East of England.

UKTI East wanted to raise awareness of the opportunities and support available in exporting, and to increase the level of enquiries being made. At the same time, PR was required to publicise landmark inward investments.

What we did

On on-going media relations programme was developed that utilised a range of news hooks and angles to create high levels of on-going media coverage. Case studies and topical national news stories were leveraged as well as interviews and editorials.

The Result

Consistently high levels of coverage was achieved across local and regional business press, radio and TV, and also sector press where relevant. Evaluation showed increased traffic to the UKTI East website resulting in higher levels of enquiries.
