Westminster to Warwickshire

Advent helped secure some top BBC coverage for a client – on one of the hottest news days of the year.

BBC Breakfast brought its Butty Van to this year’s Kenilworth Show as thousands of people descended on the showground opposite Stoneleigh Park just two days after the General Election.

The show hit the headlines early on when BBC presenters announced from College Green that they would go “from Westminster live to the Kenilworth Show in Warwickshire to discuss the election results.”

The 74th annual show featured more than 100 trade stands, as well as a home-crafts area and a series of competitions.

Charlie Weetman, director of the Kenilworth Show, said: “It was fantastic to see so many people enjoying what was a really entertaining and informative show – and great that the whole country got to see what we put on offer.”
